Two views of the Brazilian city of Salvador (formerly Bahia), mounted on recto and verso of one sheet. One view is of the Praça do Teatro, showing the Teatro Castro Alves (formerly Teatro São João) and the building where Gaensly had his studio during the 1880s (92 Largo Castro Alves). The second image is a view from a hillside residential area overlooking the harbor.
